Animal Appreciation is a single session companion animal welfare class presented to public school children, the kids at the Club De Ninos y Ninas in Rosarito and local orphanages. It is designed to promote empathy, compassion, and kindness towards animals.
Animal welfare – Why are there street dogs(callejeros)? What is a responsible owner? Bueno/Malo game to identify good/Bad treatment of animals.
Animal care – Our responsibility to them: shelter, feeding, grooming, medical care, vaccinations.
Parasites – how to treat them and avoid them – ticks, fleas, worms, mange
Sterilization – What it is, why it is important and good for your pet. TNR. Info on local clinics.
It includes hands-on activities and demonstrations, assistive dogs, and take home handouts.
We can also provide a multi-session program that encompasses additional animals and in-depth variety of information and activities.
